It had helped launch the careers of some of the city's biggest bands including The Specials and The Enemy. The organisers of the bi-monthly event Sauced will now occupy the Coventry SQ Club around the corner, after taking up residence in numerous city nightspots down the years. Tom McDermott is a jazz pianist born in St. Louis, Missouri, USA in 1957. He began studying piano at six and became a professional musician at age sixteen. joked. "I just can't believe it's gone. It's changed the face of Coventry." Doors open tomorrow at 8pm, with free entry before 9pm. Free CDs will be given to the first 50 people on the door. |
