Dance films go global.


The 34th annual Dance on Camera Festival goes international in a big way. The filmmakers hail from Africa, India, Netherlands, Norway, Hungary, and Turkey. The subjects range from commercial choreographer Vincent Paterson (who worked with Madonna and Michael Jackson Noun 1. Michael Jackson - United States singer who began singing with his four brothers and later became a highly successful star during the 1980s (born in 1958)

), to uber-punk British choreographer Michael Clark Michael (or Mike) Clark can refer to the following people:
  • Michael Clark (astronomer), New Zealand astronomer
  • Michael Clark (dancer), British post-punk ballet dancer
  • Michael Stephen Clark, American newspaper columnist
, to temple dancers who lived in the roaring 1920s of India, to the tap dancing Silver Belles of Harlem (above). The festival, co-sponsored by the Film Society of Lincoln Center Lincoln Center
