Dance Theatre of Harlem Announces Open House November 8th.NEW YORK--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Nov. 3, 1998--What do Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, and Princess Margaret have in common? All of them have attended Dance Theatre of Harlem's Open Houses. On Sunday, November 8th, 1998 at 3:00pm, Dance Theatre of Harlem Dance Theatre of Harlem, the first black classical ballet company. The group was founded in Harlem, New York City, by Arthur Mitchell, then of the New York City Ballet, the first black principal dancer of a classical company of international standing. will present "Harvest of Artists" -- the first of their popular 1998-1999 Open House series. All of the Open Houses will take place at the Company headquarters and School, 466 West 152nd Street (between Amsterdam and St. Nicholas Avenues), which is easily reachable by public transportation. Admission is $6.00 for adults and $2.00 for children and senior citizens. Seating is limited. Usually held the second Sunday of every month, Dance Theatre of Harlem's Open House series offers a unique and exciting performing arts showcase. Featuring an array of dancers, musicians, vocalists, as well as special events such as fashion shows, this series has become a mainstay of the Harlem community. The highlight of "Harvest of Artists" stars the Dance Theatre of Harlem Company members. This performance is a special treat as the Company is often out of New York New York, state, United States New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of on tour. Guest artists for the November 8th Open House are: ProPiano Artist of the year, J.Y. Song and the St. John's Baptist Church St. John's Baptist Church (also known as the New St. John Institutional Baptist Church) is a historic church in Miami, Florida. It is located at 1328 Northwest 3rd Avenue. On April 17, 1992, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Choir, as well as exhibition ballroom dancing.
