Dance Magazine summer 2002 calendar of performances: May 1-September 2.

Besides warm weather and dance intensives, summer means all kinds of festivals, tours, and local performances. This month, Dance Magazine has created a comprehensive summer guide to performances worldwide from May through Labor Day Labor Day, holiday celebrated in the United States and Canada on the first Monday in September to honor the laborer. It was inaugurated by the Knights of Labor in 1882 and made a national holiday by the U.S. Congress in 1894.  weekend. During June June: see month. , July July: see month. , and August, the Calendar will appear on our Web site only, at www.dancemagazine.com, so that we can devote our pages to exciting special features like our jazz issue and our seventy-fifth anniversary edition. Enjoy!
