Dance Magazine Essay Prize Helps Teachers Honor Teachers.DANCE TEACHERS, who must inspire their students to succeed, draw from many wellsprings. She and friend Brian Arena were treated to a tour of Dance Magazine's New York office and lunch with Dance Magazine President Roslyne Stern and Executive Editor Richard Philp. There, they exchanged stories about lives dedicated to dance. That evening, they were joined by fifty friends of dance at a cocktail party in honor of Lees Hummel and Lynn Simonson. Then it was off to the theater. And where else on a trip to New York City but Broadway? Lees attended the long-running hit show Chicago, featuring the choreography of Ann Reinking Ann Reinking (born November 10, 1949 in Seattle, Washington) is an American actress and dancer, most famous for her association with choreographer Bob Fosse. Reinking originally trained as a ballet dancer. , as well as the Lynne Taylor-Corbett-choreographed musical revue Swing!, where she also met members of the cast. The weekend was jam-packed, but Lees didn't seem the least bit tired. Energetic and grateful, she was a pleasure to host.
