Dan and Betsy Nally Gear Up for 7th Annual Turkey Drive Benefitting The Greater Boston Food Bank.

In 1996, two remarkable kids from Westwood, MA started a turkey drive ensuring that all people throughout eastern Massachusetts who wanted a turkey for Thanksgiving Thanksgiving

To date, Dan (14) and Betsy (11) Nally have donated over 175,000 pounds of turkeys to The Greater Boston Greater Boston is the area of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts surrounding the city of Boston, Massachusetts. While Metro Boston tends to be the "Inner Core" surrounding the City of Boston, Greater Boston overlaps the North and South Shores, as well as the MetroWest region.  Food Bank providing nearly 135,000 meals and bringing their dream of ending hunger one step closer to reality. As they kick-off their annual event, they are seeking help in the form of turkeys and money from all of eastern Massachusetts.

Initially, Dan and Betsy went door to door and collected money and frozen turkeys from their community as well as from other people in Massachusetts who heard about their program. In 2001, this brother and sister team took the program to the next level, by engaging the help of Jim Perdue Perdue may refer to:

 Show and ever since Perdue has donated 1,000 turkeys each year to the Nally's program. This year, with Perdue's commitment Dan and Betsy hope to break their record donation of 77,000 pounds of turkey that was given to The Food Bank last year.
