The Company also announced it will reconfigure production in its Home Fashions division without any substantial change to capacity. To implement these changes, 140 looms in the Company's Apparel Fabrics operation will be idled and 120 apparel fabrics looms will be relocated from Danville, VA to its Sevierville, TN plant. After making these adjustments, production for the Apparel Fabrics division will be sufficient to service its present and anticipated customer demand levels. The vacant space in Danville created by these moves will be utilized by installing wide modern airjet sheeting looms. Greenville is a mid-sized city located in the upstate of South Carolina. It is the county seat of Greenville CountyGR6 Plant No. 1, which will be taken out of operation. The Greenville facility will continue to operate its airjet spinning and weaving Plant No. 2. Additionally, the Company will close its Newnan, Georgia Newnan is a city in Coweta County, Georgia, 39 miles (63 km) southwest of Atlanta. In 1900: 3,654 people lived in Newnan, Georgia; in 1910: 5,548, and in 1940: 7,182. The population was 16,242 at the 2000 Census. cut and sew facility.
