Dan's the man to see off derby rivals; FA CUP FOOTBALL.


EVERTON teenager Dan Gosling Daniel "Dan" Gosling (born 2 February 1990) is an English footballer who plays for Plymouth Argyle. He is the first ever player born in the 1990s to represent the first team, and the fourth youngest player to represent the club.  struck a last gasp winner two minutes from the end of extra-time to see off neighbours Liverpool in their FA Cup fourth round replay.

The teenager showed composure in the box to curl home into the far top corner for a 1-0 win at against the 10-man Reds at Goodison Park.

He also went to Upholland High School and Winstanley College.  had earlier fired against the post for Everton.

Everton boss David Moyes heaped praise on his kids. As well as Gosling, 17-year-old Jack Rodwell had a second half stormer.

"I'm proud of them to come into a big tie like that and play so well but there is more to come," he said.

Elsewhere Sunderland lost 2-1 after extra-time at Blackburn as Benni McCarthy headed a winner three minutes away from penalties.

David Healy fired Sunderland ahead on seven minutes but Aaron Mokoena levelled soon after.

Derby came from two down to win 3-2 at Nottingham Forest.

Chris Cohen netted early then Nathan Tyson made it two from the spot after 15 minutes. Derby hit back with a Rob Hulse header and Paul Green levelled on the hour before ex-Forest man Kris Commons got the winner.

Elsewhere Aston Villa beat Doncaster 3-1. Steve Sidwell and John Carew struck then after Jason price pulled one back Nathan Delfouneso sealed it.
