DANNY HOLLAdid the damage as Groningen dumped Ajax 1-0 to dent the Amsterdam giants' title hopes.

The midfielder drilled past Maarten Stekelenburg from 20 yards in 39 minutes to leave the visitors trailing six points behind leaders AZ Alkmaar.

Ajax finished with 10 men after defender Jan Vertonghen was dismissed for a second yellow card four minutes from time, sparking an angry blast at the referee from Marco van Basten that saw the coach sent to the stand.

Anwele Slory cancelled out Jens Janse's opener for Willem 11 to salvage a 1-1 draw for F eyenoord.
