Dan's Angel.

In these picture books, which are set in art museums, the author imagines characters from paintings transcending their frames to interact with human visitors. Here, Dan, a curious skateboarder, enters a museum for the first time. After taking a look around he sighs, "You can't read paintings like you can read books." Fortunately one of Fra Angelico's angels hears him and sets out to help him "read" some of the dozen famous paintings in the museum. The artworks include works from Rembrandt and Lorrain to Goya, Picasso, and Pollock.
