About 200 youths chanted anti-YCL slogans and demanded that it stopped its 'hooliganism'. They urged others to fight the Maoist excesses.

The youths picketed the District Police Office and demanded action against the culprit.

Following the attack yesterday evening, the irate locals had vandalised the office of a Maoist sister organisation at Damauli.

Meanwhile, Maoist district in-charge Hari Bahadur Chuman claimed that his party and its sister wings are not involved in the attack. "YCL won't do anything against the party's policy," he said.
