Daman Consulting Appoints Michael Haisten As Vice President; Appointment Signals Daman's Expanded Role in Information Architecture and Data Warehousing.

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 19, 1999--Daman Consulting, a premier provider of data management and data warehousing solutions, today announced the appointment of Michael Haisten as Vice President of Information Architecture Services.

Haisten is considered one of a handful of visionaries who have helped shape the data management industry, with more than 22 years of leadership in information management and architecture development. He served as Chief Information Architect at Apple Computer Corporation, where he was co-developer of the VITAL Technical Architecture. He also served as President of VITAL Technologies Inc., a data warehouse and decision support consultancy.

Haisten has been chief architect, designer and technical expert for more than 65 data warehouse and decision support projects. He has been a featured speaker and member of the advisory board for the DCI Data Warehouse Conference and, more recently, was designated a Fellow of the Data Warehousing Institute, a rare honor. Haisten has a B.A. in economics and an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Chicago.

From its inception in 1996, Daman Consulting has grown at an average rate of 200% in revenue per year. Haisten will be responsible for further accelerating the company's growth through the strategic development of Daman's Information Architecture Services. These services are designed to enhance Daman's presence in key service areas such as data warehousing, and strategic data and information development.
