Daly joins carpenters' movement.Martin Daly Martin Daly is a Professor of Psychology at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada and author of several papers on evolutionary psychology. Current research topics include an evolutionary perspective on interpersonal violence. , director of the District Council of Carpenters' Labor Technical College, has joined with other leaders in the construction industry to help increase opportunities in this growing field. The commission was created in March of 2005 with a goal of growing participation by minorities, women, returning veterans and recent high school graduates. Among the commission's appointees are private developers and contractors including minority and women-owned businesses, union representative, advocates and government officials. As director of the Labor Technical College, Daly oversees a 120,000 s/f facility responsible for developing the skills of some of the best-trained carpenters in the industry.
