Daly is high and Mighty!Henry Daly's Mighty Man Mighty Man refers to any one of several fictional, super-powered individuals in literature:
BGC Billy Graham Center BGC Baptist General Conference (formerly Swedish Baptist Denomination) BGC Boys & Girls Club BGC Bubblegum Crisis Long Walk Hurdle The Long Walk Hurdle is a Grade 1 National Hunt horse race in the United Kingdom for four-year-old and above horses. It is run over a distance of 3 miles 1½ furlongs (5,130 metres) at Ascot Racecourse in December. There are fourteen hurdles to be jumped in the race. at Ascot - but he made hard work of it. Third in the World Hurdle at the Festival last March behind My Way De Solzen, he turned the tables in no uncertain terms at Aintree the following month when beating the same rival by seven lengths to put him at the top of the staying hurdling tree. He reappeared this season with a satisfactory run behind dual Champion Hurdler Hardy Eustace over an inadequate trip trying to concede 8lb. And with that under his belt, he was sent off the 8-11 favourite for the three-mile-one-furlong contest under Richard Johnson. However, Mighty Man was made to fight all the way to the line as Loch Derg put in some sterling work to close to within a length and a quarter. The bookmakers were unimpressed and Ladbrokes left him unchanged as their 6-1 third favourite for the World Hurdle at Cheltenham, while BetDirect cut him to 11-2 from 7-1. Daly said: "That was nerve- wracking. "He is better on good ground and found that a bit difficult so I am praying that Cheltenham don't turn the taps on." |
