Dallas gets a lesbian sheriff.


There's a new sheriff in Dallas. And not only is she the first elected female sheriff in the county, she's also a lesbian.

Lupe Valdez Lupe Valdez is an American law enforcement official and the Sheriff of Dallas County, Texas. She is Texas's only female sheriff, as well as being one of only very few openly gay holders of that office. , 57, on November 2 won the job as Dallas County Dallas County is the name of five counties in the United States of America:
