Dallas/IABC Requests Bronze Quill Awards Nominees That Transform 'Cacophony to Clarity'.DALLAS -- The Dallas chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators' is now accepting entries for its 2005 Bronze Quill quill: see pen. For more than three decades, IABC IABC International Association of Business Communicators IABC Indo-Americans for Better Community has been supporting and recognizing outstanding business communicators around the world. From the many entries submitted throughout the years, only the most outstanding communicators have been honored hon·or n. 1. All Dallas/Fort Worth-area communication professionals are invited to submit their best original communication work implemented between July 2004 and July 2005. This prestigious event is your chance to show how you've successfully transformed the typical cacophony of business information to clarity - whether with the use of newsletters and audiovisual See A/V. presentations to crisis campaigns and Web copy. The early bird deadline to submit entries is Friday, July 22. The 2005 Bronze Quill program will recognize business communication excellence in three divisions, with 24 categories: Division 1: Communication Management; Division 2: Communication Skills; and Division 3: Communication Creative. All deserving de·serv·ing adj. Worthy, as of reward, praise, or aid. n. Merit; worthiness. de·serv ing·ly adv. entries must fit into one of the specified divisions and categories. Projects may be entered in more than one division and category, but not more than once in any particular category. Dallas/IABC has teamed up with other IABC chapters to exchange entries for this year's Bronze Quill Awards competition. The designated IABC chapters will recruit members to judge DFW's entries. These judges are made up of communicators from major corporations, agencies and organizations. Special care will be taken to ensure judges have no connection with or prior knowledge of any entries they may be judging. Two judges score each entry and look for clearly defined needs and goals, careful planning, effective execution and measurable results.
