Dallas/IABC Quick Poll Identifies Commitment to Corporate Philanthropy.


DALLAS -- Most companies do care about their communities and do allow employee involvement. That's according to according to

 an online poll conducted in November by the Dallas chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) is a leading association for public relations professionals. IABC has about 14,000 members in more than 100 chapters in 70 countries.

The online poll asked, "At what level does your employer support local community service, including employee involvement?" The Quick Poll reveals that:

--Almost 35 percent of respondents say their companies are committed or somewhat committed.

--Almost 11 percent of respondents say their companies are not committed.
