Dallaglio: Time to lay off Johnno.Byline: ALEX SPINK LAWRENCE Dallaglio Lawrence Bruno Nero Dallaglio MBE (born on August 10, 1972 in London) is an English rugby union player, the former captain of the English national team. He plays as a flanker or Number 8 for London Wasps, he has never played for another club, having arrived at Sudbury as a last night called for calm after Will Greenwood William John Heaton Greenwood MBE (born October 20 1972 in Blackburn, Lancashire) is a former English rugby union player. He was educated at Stonyhurst College, then Sedbergh School. followed Josh Lewsey Owen Joshua Lewsey MBE (born 30 November 1976) is an English rugby union footballer who plays fullback, wing, centre or fly half for Wasps and England. Lewsey was born in Bromley in Kent and grew up in Watford in Hertfordshire, where he attended Watford Grammar School for in putting the boot into Martin Johnson's England regime. Former captain Dallaglio insists that now is not the moment to kick a team that is down and that judgement should be reserved until after the Six Nations campaign. "Some of what's been said has been slightly over the top," he said. "Everyone calling for changes should just simmer down. "In my view now is not the time to challenge what is going on. CRITICISM "Clearly we need a performance because we haven't had one yet this autumn. But at this stage I just feel we should hold fire a little on our criticism. "Wait until after the Six Nations when our injured players are back and we have a better idea of who we are and where we're going." England are back at Twickenham tomorrow after being booed off at half-time against Argentina last Saturday. In opposition this time is not a hastily-prepared and underdone South American outfit but New Zealand New Zealand (zē`lənd), island country (2005 est. pop. 4,035,000), 104,454 sq mi (270,534 sq km), in the S Pacific Ocean, over 1,000 mi (1,600 km) SE of Australia. The capital is Wellington; the largest city and leading port is Auckland. - the world's number one-ranked side. The potential for carnage is considerable and Dallaglio admitted: "We need to get a lot more out of each individual player. "They need to have a long, hard look at themselves. At the moment there's not too much to be positive about." Alongside the thoughts of Lewsey and Greenwood, however, Dallaglio appears remarkably upbeat. Lewsey lit the fuse by piling into Johnson's coaches, questioning how they are still in Red Rose employment. And Will Greenwood waded in, saying Johnson "has to look at his captain (Steve Borthwick Stephen William Borthwick (born 12 October 1979 in Carlisle) is an English rugby union footballer who plays lock for Bath and England. He has established himself among the best line-out jumpers in England. He is 6'6" and over 17st. ) and he has to look at his coaching staff. "My opinion would be that were he to stay with this captain and were he to stay with this coaching staff then it will only be a matter of time before Johnson will get dragged down with them." He added: "I said after the (Argentina) game that I thought it was the worst attacking display I had seen from an England team in a long, long time. "I wondered if I had been too harsh -but when I went home and watched the game again I could have been harsher. "There was a catalogue of errors, they looked like they had never met."
