Daleen Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq:DALN), a global provider of software that manages the revenue chain for next-generation service, enterprise business and technology solutions providers, and EHPT USA, the content management and billing mediation software company created by Ericsson and Hewlett-Packard, today announced that they have formed a strategic alliance to offer a pre-integrated mediation and billing solution.

Under the terms of the agreement, the two companies will begin joint sales and marketing efforts immediately targeting leading content and communications service providers that need to manage high volumes of complex data and service usage records. EHPT USA and Daleen showcased the complementary open-Internet design of their products as part of an integrated multi-vendor demonstration of the Cisco Content Delivery Network (CDN) at the SUPERCOMM 2001 trade show in June.

The companies' joint solution leverages open-Internet technologies. They are leading the trend away from using proprietary data flows and data collection, which forces providers to spend unnecessary time and resources on connectivity issues instead of focusing on their primary businesses. The integration of Daleen's RevChain(TM) Commerce billing application and EHPT's Content Management Solution (CMS) allows content and communications service providers to manage their revenue chains quickly and efficiently.

The RevChain Commerce application, which incorporates convergent billing and customer and service management, is enabled by an industry leading "zero code" client architecture that facilitates easy integration with other systems. Daleen's Internet Integration Architecture (IIA(TM)) and EHPT's CMS enables the two companies' products to communicate effectively without costly, time-consuming integration at the customer site.
