The Go Purple Solutions Partner Program is designed to integrate Extreme's products with those of industry leaders like Daleen and enhance its broadband solutions. The program enables the partners to enter new markets with proven, interoperable solutions, increase revenue potential through reference selling, and improve brand awareness and market visibility.

Extreme Networks recently demonstrated the compatibility of its leading Ethernet switching solutions with Daleen's RevChain(TM) software at the TeleManagement World trade show in Las Vegas. The pre-engineered solution provides high-performance switching with advanced billing functions that enable service providers to better realize the revenue potential of their optical networks. Daleen's RevChain Commerce application uses network performance and destination data gathered by Extreme Networks' switching solutions to rate and bill for highly granular network service packages. The interoperable solution meets the need for Quality of Service (QoS) billing in the metro and regional markets as well as the demand for destination-sensitive billing among long-haul optical service providers.

By automating customers' QoS billing credits and adjustments, Daleen adds value to service providers' SLA monitoring that results in increased customer satisfaction and reduced operational costs. RevChain Commerce enables metro and regional optical providers to more closely link their service packages with the QoS actually delivered and the amount billed to the customer. This allows service providers to offer competitive pricing plans based on service level agreements (SLAs) and issue credits and adjustments based on the QoS delivered. Providers can structure their service bundles so that credits and adjustments are applied according to each customer's service package, either proactively before the bill is issued or not until a charge is disputed.

For long-haul optical services, the integrated solution enables providers to bill according to the destination of each customer's data and create pricing incentives that encourage the exclusive use of their network. RevChain Commerce leverages data collected by Extreme Networks' switching systems to enable customized destination-sensitive, usage-based rate plans. RevChain Commerce is the only billing solution that enables service providers to rate and bill for as many different destinations as its network equipment will allow. By billing according to the networks used to transport IP data to different destinations around the world, service providers can more closely tie their pricing plans to their actual network costs.
