A recognized expert on the electronic gaming market, Strang, 38, brings more than 10 years of experience in technology magazine publishing to his new position. Strang previously served as publisher of Computer Gaming World Computer Gaming World (CGW) was the first magazine devoted exclusively to computer games. CGW was founded in 1981 by Russell Sipe as a semi-monthly publication. , where he played a key role in driving the magazine to record circulation and advertising levels. Under his leadership, Computer Gaming World became the number one publication in the category.

As Group Publisher of the Video Game Group, Strang is responsible for overseeing all business aspects for Electronic Gaming Monthly, Expert Gamer, and the Official U.S. PlayStation Magazine, which collectively reach more than 2.5 million core video gamers each month.
