Dale Stinton Named NAR Executive Vice President and CEO.


WASHINGTON -- Dale A. Stinton was named executive vice president and chief executive officer of the National Association of Realtors The National Association of Realtors (NAR) is made up of residential and commercial realtors who are brokers, salespeople, property managers, appraisers, and counselors, and others working in the real estate industry. Stinton, who is NAR's chief financial and chief information officer, will take over the reins of the nation's largest trade association on November 1, succeeding Terry McDermott, who is retiring. Stinton recently oversaw the development, financing and construction of NAR's new $47 million award-winning Washington, D.C., office building and the establishment of the $52 million Strategic Investment Reserve. E[acute accent]Stinton worked with NAR leadership to set up the Realtors(R) Housing Relief Fund in 2001 to raise funds and ensure that more than 1,200 families would not lose their homes as a result of the attacks on September 11, and has managed the Realtors(R) Relief Foundation, which has raised funds to aid victims of the hurricanes in 2004, the Tsunami earlier this year, and Hurricane Katrina.
