Dale Polley Joins O'Charley's Board of Directors.

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 5, 2001

O'Charley's Inc. (Nasdaq/NM:CHUX) today announced that Dale W. Polley has joined the board of directors. Polley replaces Dr. C was a fictional scientist from the TV series Cro. She and her companion, Mike, went to the Arctic and thawed out a mammoth, who could talk. That mammoth now tells stories of life in the stone age with his friend, Cro, and his fellow mammoths. . Warren Neel, who resigned in March.

Polley is the retired, former president and vice chairman of the board of First American Corporation

He currently serves on the boards of directors of Pinnacle Financial Partners, the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta is responsible for the 6th District of the Federal Reserve, which covers Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and parts of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee.  (Nashville branch), Nashville Sports Council, Music City Bowl, T.J. Martel Foundation, St. Thomas Foundation and Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center.

Commenting on the announcement, Gregory L. Burns, O'Charley's chairman and chief executive officer, stated, "Dale has the expertise and proven track record to make an invaluable contribution to our company. He is an excellent addition to the board, and we look forward to his advice and counsel."

O'Charley's Inc. operates 159 casual-dining, full-service restaurants in 14 states in the Southeast and Midwest. The menu, with an emphasis on fresh preparation, features several specialty items such as hand-cut and aged steaks, fresh seafood, chicken that is always fresh and never frozen, popular homemade yeast rolls, a variety of fresh-cut salads with special-recipe salad dressings and their signature caramel pie. In addition, the company currently operates two Stoney River Legendary Steaks Stoney River Legendary Steaks is a chain of steakhouses in the United States. There are 10 Stoney River Legendary Steaks restaurants in Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio, Missouri and Tennessee. The parent company of Stoney River Legendary Steaks is O'Charley's, Inc.  restaurants located in Atlanta, Georgia, and one location in Chicago, Illinois.
