McFarland brings 20 years of hospitality and management savvy to Gurnee, Illinois' premier family vacation resort

In his role, McFarland is responsible for the successful operation of the 414 room, island-themed property that opened in February 2008.

Prior to joining KeyLime Cove, McFarland was the general manager of Great Wolf Lodge indoor waterpark resort in Pocono Mountains, PA., where he managed the pre-opening plans as well as day-to-day operations of the waterpark resort and is credited with bringing innovation and new technology to the property. Prior to that, McFarland was district manager of ARAMARK Corporation's largest account, Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas as well as Vice President of ARAMARK Parks West. McFarland has also held a variety of management positions with DoubleTree Hotels nationwide.

Prior to moving to Gurnee, Dale served as Vice Chairman for the Pennsylvania Tourism and Lodging Association, was on the executive committee for the Pocono Mountain Visitors Bureau and served on the Board for United Way in Monroe County. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and certification in hospitality management & professional development from Washington State University.
