Daktronics to Upgrade ALLTEL Stadium with Integrated Super System for Jacksonville Jaguars; New Display System Will Be Integral Part of Super Bowl XXXIX.

Daktronics, Inc. (Nasdaq:DAKT) announced today that it has been chosen by the Jacksonville Jaguars to design and manufacture an integrated scoring and video display system for ALLTEL Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla. The value of the project is approximately $4 million with installation scheduled to be complete prior to the start of the 2004 National Football League (NFL) season.

Daktronics will provide a unique system that includes multiple displays on each of the two large end zone scoreboards, fascia-mounted scoreboards and displays, game clocks, play clocks, and the control system to operate and integrate the displays. All of the displays will use light emitting diode (LED) technology for greater brightness and visibility.

"The two giant screens in the end zones, along with the other boards, will be used to their full capacity. Our fans will love seeing their favorite highlights and replays on the super-wide, larger than life screens. The display system will also play an important role during the Super Bowl and events leading up to it, as well as other events hosted at the stadium."

Both end zone scoreboards will feature a large ProStar(R) video display, measuring approximately 24 feet high by 90 feet wide, with Pure Pixel(TM) resolution of 384,000 picture elements. Two additional displays on each end zone scoreboard will use amber LEDs to provide fans with additional scoring and statistical information. Each of these Galaxy(R) monochrome displays will measure approximately 12 feet high by 38 feet wide. A dedicated LED game clock will be located in the lower center of the scoreboard. The new displays and clocks will be mounted on the existing scoreboard structures.

Two large ProAd(R) displays will be attached to the fascia inside the stadium to provide colorful video clips, animation, graphics and text information, including sponsor messages. Each display will measure approximately four feet high by 200 feet wide. Four dedicated fascia scoreboards measuring four feet by 40 feet will complement the ProAd(R) and end zone displays.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will host Super Bowl XXXIX on Feb. 6, 2005 at ALLTEL Stadium. The Jaguars joined the NFL as an expansion team in 1995 and played their first regular season game in the new stadium on Sept. 3, 1995.
