Daktronics Chosen to Provide an Integrated Scoring and Display System for MTS Centre in Winnipeg.

BROOKINGS, S.D. -- Daktronics, Inc. (Nasdaq:DAKT) has been chosen to provide a unique display system for the MTS Centre in Winnipeg that will integrate scoring, timing, video, and advertising functions on multiple displays throughout the facility.

The multi-million dollar display system will incorporate multiple displays, controlled and choreographed with Daktronics proven integrated control system. A large center-hung scoreboard with ProStar(R) video displays, a 360-degree ProAd(R) fascia display, an outdoor ProStar(R) video screen, goal lights, ticket window displays, locker room clocks, Venus(R) controllers, V-Link(R) video processors, All Sport(R) controllers and an interface to real time sports data are the components that make up this unique system.

The large center-hung scoreboard will feature 16 full-color, state-of-the-art, light emitting diode (LED) displays. Four of those displays will use Daktronics ProStar(R) technology to present high-resolution images, including live and recorded video, in trillions of shades of color. The additional displays on the main scoreboard will be programmable LED matrices that can be formatted to show a variety of scoring and statistical information, as well as graphics, animation, sponsor messages and video clips. Overall dimensions of the center-hung scoreboard are 26 feet high by 25 feet wide (8.0 m by 7.6 m). The primary video displays will measure approximately nine feet high by 16 feet wide (2.7 m by 4.9 m) using the new standard 9:16 aspect ratio of high definition television. More than one million red, green and blue LEDs will be used on the main scoreboard's programmable displays to produce vibrant colors and detailed imagery.

Surrounding fans inside the MTS Centre will be Daktronics' popular ProAd(R) technology. This ring of light will measure approximately two feet high by 920 feet in circumference, and will be installed on the fascia of the upper deck. The display also has full-color capability using red, green and blue LEDs to display text, graphics, animation and video clips.

Daktronics will also provide a large outdoor video display. This display will measure approximately 20 feet high by 18 feet wide (6.1 m x 5.5 m) and will be used to promote upcoming events and present live game action and highlights to passersby outside the arena.

This order was booked during the fourth quarter of the Company's 2004 fiscal year.

The MTS Centre is under construction in downtown Winnipeg, and is scheduled to open in November 2004. The $133 million MTS Centre will feature seating for up to 15,000 fans for hockey and have a maximum seating capacity of nearly 17,000 for concerts and other events.
