Media Plus+ will assume responsibility from the current incumbent, EvansGroup's Power Media unit, effective Oct. 23.

Assignment of the Dairy Farmers' account followed a two-month review that included nine regional media buying firms. Six firms, including EvansGroup, survived initial screening to compete in presentations to Commission board members and staff.

"Media Plus+ won our business by demonstrating an outstanding talent for innovative media planning and buying at a reasonable cost," Matzen said.

He added that the firm's moderate size and record of superior client service were important factors in the final decision.

"All of the competing firms did a great job," Matzen commented. "It was a tough decision."

"It is indeed an honor As a verb, to accept a bill of exchange, or to pay a note, check, or accepted bill, at maturity. To pay or to accept and pay, or, where a credit so engages, to purchase or discount a draft complying with the terms of the draft.  for our firm to be selected by such a prestigious group as the Dairy Farmers," Jacobsen said. "It's a very professionally run organization that will be a pleasure to serve."

Founded in 1983, Media Plus+ is the largest independent media buying service in the Pacific Northwest. About 75 percent of the firm's activity is in Washington media. Jacobsen will be joined by Laurie McManus, planner/buyer, in providing the Dairy Farmers with media consulting, planning and buying services.

Established in 1939, the Washington Dairy Products Commission conducts year-round advertising, promotions, communications and public education campaigns to encourage demand for dairy products made in Washington state.

Its operations are funded entirely by the state's 1,000 dairy farmers. Its advertising effort currently embraces the popular "got milk?" television campaign as well as radio, print, outdoor and transit ads.

EvansGroup acquired the Dairy Farmers' account in 1992 when it merged with Ehrig & Associates, a Seattle-based advertising agency that had held the business for nearly 25 years. The Dairy Farmers announced in June their intention to "unbundle To sell components in a system separately. Contrast with bundle. " their account and work with a wider range of marketing services providers.
