In September, Daio Paper built a plant to evaluate for commercial production the performance of the sludge-based additives at its Mishima plant in Shikoku-chuo City, Ehime Prefecture. The 130 million ($1.1 mil) plant will produce 30 tons of such chemicals per month, at a whiteness level of 78-83%.
