) - Dainippon Sumitomo Pharma announced on April 20 that it has received approval for AmBisome for Injection 50mg, a liposomal formulation of the antifungal agent amphotericin B, from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.

An agent discovered by US company Gilead Sciences, AmBisome is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by Aspergillus Aspergillus
