Daikin America starts up EFEP, ETFE plants.
Daikin America announced the start up of its recently completed EFEP EFEP Easiest Fault Effect Propagation Path plant expansion in Decatur, AL. EFEP (perfluorinated ethylene-propylene copolymer copolymer: see polymer. ) is a fluoropolymer that can be co-extruded with nylon, modified nylon, EVOH EVOH Ethylene Vinyl Alcohol Polymer (chemical industry) , ETFE ETFE Ethylene/Tetrafluoroethylene Copolymer and glass. Daikin America also announced the successful start up of its recently completed ETFE expansion in Decatur. The expanded ETFE plant doubles Daikin's capacity. ETFE (ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene copolymer) is said to have become an important resin in wire and cable, and automotive tubing applications.
