Daikin America, Inc., Orangeburg, N.Y., the only producer of EFEP EFEP Easiest Fault Effect Propagation Path  fluoropolymer A fluoropolymer is a polymer that contains atoms of fluorine. It is characterized by a high resistance to solvents, acids, and bases.

Fluoropolymers were discovered serendipitously in 1938 by Dr. Roy J. Plunkett.
, plans a significant capacity expansion for that resin at Decatur, Ala. EFEP has high transparency and bonds well to nylon, EVOH EVOH Ethylene Vinyl Alcohol Polymer (chemical industry) , ETFE ETFE Ethylene/Tetrafluoroethylene Copolymer , glass, and metals without tie layers. It is aimed at automotive fuel systems, oil transport equipment, and protective film for solar panels and semiconductor handling equipment. The expansion is due on stream in the first quarter of 2007, as is a significant capacity expansion for ETFE resin. This resin is popular for wire and cable. Tel: (800) 365-9570 * PTDirect: 964JH
