DaVita cleared.
DaVita Cleared: A six-year federal investigation of DaVita Inc. has
concluded without any charges being filed, the El Segundo-based dialysis dialysis (dīăl`ĭsĭs), in chemistry, transfer of solute (dissolved solids) across a semipermeable membrane. Strictly speaking, dialysis refers only to the transfer of the solute; transfer of the solvent is called osmosis. center operator said. It was the oldest of three investigations into the
company's business practices. DaVita said that government officials
told them the investigation into its business practices was over. The
investigation began sometime before February 2001, when the company was
notified by the civil division of the U.S. Attorney's CERTIFICATE, ATTORNEY'S, Practice, English law. By statute 37 Geo. III., c. 90, s. 26, 28, attorneys are required to deliver to the commissioners of stamp duties, a paper or note in writing, containing the name and usual place of residence of such person, and thereupon, on paying certain Office for
the Eastern District of Pennsylvania Pennsylvania (pĕnsəlvā`nyə), one of the Middle Atlantic states of the United States. It is bordered by New Jersey, across the Delaware River (E), Delaware (SE), Maryland (S), West Virginia (SW), Ohio (W), and Lake Erie and New York that is was being investigated.
DaVita received a formal subpoena subpoena (səpē`nə) [Lat.,=under penalty], in law, an order to a witness to appear before a court. A subpoena ad testificandum [Lat. in May 2002. Investigations in two
other jurisdictions are pending, a company spokeswoman said.
