LLC - Logical Link Control (GTE-IS), a Chantilly, Va., provider of integrated telecom services and IT solutions to US and foreign governments, state and local governments and commercial customers. The unit, which employs 960 professionals and support personnel, has 1999 projected revenues of $235 million. The acquisition, expected to close by the end of the year, will significantly increase DynCorp's projected fiscal year 2000 sales to around $1.7 billion. The buy is "consistent with DynCorp's strategy of focusing on IT and outsourcing solutions. GTE is highly regarded for the advanced level of solutions it provides to a variety of federal government agencies," says DynCorp President Paul Lombardi.
