DYNCORP MAKES EXECUTIVE APPOINTMENTSAT TECHNOLOGY APPLICATIONS, INC.
RESTON, Va., Jan. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- DynCorp Government Services Group President Paul V. Lombardi has named John R. Register as president of Technology Applications, Inc. (TAI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of DynCorp. John McNamara Curtis has been named vice president, operations. Register will be responsible for TAI's development and strategic direction. Curtis will manage TAI's Information Technology, Networking and Telecommunications, Engineering Programs and European Programs divisions. Register joined TAI in 1985 as vice president for finance and contracts. He became a member of the board of directors in 1990 and most recently served as senior vice president and chief financial officer. Prior to joining TAI, Register was director of finance at Litton Industries, a defense electronics and telecommunications engineering firm in College Park, Md. Register received a bachelor of science degree in business management from the University of Maryland. He also completed graduate studies at Johns Hopkins and is a certified public accountant. Curtis joined DynCorp in January 1992 as director of Navy programs, charged with expanding DynCorp's relationship with the Navy and targeting opportunities with Naval laboratories, systems commands, field activities and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. Previously, Curtis was an operations manager at PRC, Inc. Curtis received a bachelor of science degree from the Virginia Military Institute and completed the Darden Graduate School's Executive Management Program. As a subsidiary of DynCorp, TAI provides professional and technical services in five key high technology areas: software development, systems integration, telecommunications and networking, environmental sciences and engineering services. TAI's customers include agencies of the Department of Defense, NASA and the Environmental Protection Agency.
