DWR and State Water Board Announce Round Two of Integrated Regional Water Management Grant Program.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- On August 1, 2007, the Department of Water Resources (DWR) and the State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) received 28 applications for Proposition 50, Round 2 IRWM, Implementation Grants, Step 1 proposals. The 17 applications deemed complete and eligible were reviewed according to the scoring criteria contained in the Round 2 IRWM Guidelines and Proposal Solicitation Package (PSP).

Submittal of a Step 2 application is by invitation only. Based on the review conducted by DWR and State Water Board, the following proposals have been invited to submit a Step 2 IRWM grant application:

On November 16, 2007, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m., DWR and State Water Board staff will be available to discuss reviews with individual applicants. From 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., a public meeting will be held to present the Call Back list and accept public comments. The meeting will be held at:

STEP 2 APPLICATION AVAILABILITY AND APPLICANT WORKSHOPS

By November 15, 2007, the Proposition 50, Round 2, IRWM Implementation Grants, Step 2 application will be available on the State Water Board's FAAST website:

On December 5th and 6th, 2007, DWR and the State Water Board will hold two informational workshops for Step 2 applicants. The meetings are scheduled as follows:

The purpose of the applicant workshops is to provide potential Step 2 applicants with detailed, specific assistance on how to prepare the Step 2 grant application.

Workshop attendance is not mandatory but it is strongly encouraged. Because applicants will be scheduled for individual technical assistance sessions, they should contact [e-mail] to register for a workshop and schedule times for technical assistance.

STEP 2 APPLICATION DUE DATE AND RELATED INFORMATION

Prop 50, IRWM Round 2 Implementation Grant, Step 2 applications must be submitted to the State Water Board via FAAST by 5:00 p.m. on January 15, 2008. Applications submitted after 5 p.m. on the due date will not be reviewed or considered for funding.
