This grant program implements Chapter 7(g) of Proposition 50, the Water Security, Clean Drinking Water drinking water
supply of water available to animals for drinking supplied via nipples, in troughs, dams, ponds and larger natural water sources; an insufficient supply leads to dehydration; it can be the source of infection, e.g. leptospirosis, salmonellosis, or of poisoning, e.g. , Coastal and Beach Protection Act of 2002, which authorizes DWR to administer a $120 million agricultural and urban water conservation program. The program provides grants for water use efficiency implementation projects as well as research and development, feasibility studies The analysis of a problem to determine if it can be solved effectively. The operational (will it work?), economical (costs and benefits) and technical (can it be built?) aspects are part of the study. Results of the study determine whether the solution should be implemented. , pilot, and demonstration projects.
The PSP is posted on the DWR website: http://www.owue.water.ca.gov/finance/index.cfm. Completed proposals are due by January 11, 2005. Interested parties need not attend the workshops to submit proposals.
