The kids attending the DWP Power Hitter event participated in hitting, pitching, catching and fielding clinics -- receiving tips from Dodger players and coaches. The children were divided into three age categories (6-8, 9-11, 12-14) and received three chances to hit a ball the farthest during the Power Hitter Competition. Winners from each age group will compete head to head in a final Power Hitter competition held at Dodger Stadium later in the season. The Power Hitter Competition is one of many efforts the DWP participates in to show its continued support to the community and the children of Los Angeles. The DWP serves more than 3.7 million people in Los Angeles and was established almost 100 years ago to provide the water and electric services to Los Angeles residents and businesses.
