DWJ turns up on top in Sigma-confirmed airings.

RIDGEWOOD, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 22, 1995--In a special analysis just released by A.C. Nielsen, its Sigma data showed that DWJ Television had more VNR airings in November than any other VNR producer or distributor who uses Sigma electronic tracking--7 of the top 25.

The study, the first of its kind, was conducted during the period beginning October 30th running through November 26th.

The DWJ Television VNRs included the unveiling of Ford's new Lincoln Continental, a new book called Keeping America Competitive, Sears' spinoff of Allstate, Christie's DaVinci and Warhol auctions, Kathy Ireland's line of exercise clothing for Kmart, and a new service from AT&T that allows users to send 800 messages along with their gifts.

DWJ Television president, Dan Johnson explains, "We've always been proud of our reputation for securing successful results. It's a vindication of sorts, now that Sigma is so widely used clients can accurately compare results and see that ours are clearly better.

"None of these stories was about O.J. Simpson or a cure for cancer but all of them got a lot of air time."

The new Lincoln got 244 usages in November while Keeping America Competitive, an important but not widely known book released by the Employment Policy Foundation, got 223. Keeping America Competitive was underwritten by Mobil Corporation.

In the PSA category, DWJ Television's Planned Communication Services (PCS) division had nine of the top 25. DWJ also had two of the top 10 satellite media tours.
