 a recently published report by Dell'Oro Group, the total Optical Transport equipment market stayed flat Q/Q at $1.5 billion in 2Q03. As pointed out in the report, this is the third consecutive quarter of modest movements in the total Optical Transport market compared with the double digit Noun 1. double digit - a two-digit integer; from 10 to 99

 declines of 2001 and 2002.

The strongest growth was in the DWDM (Dense WDM) The term given to wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) when significantly more channels were being added. Since WDM is increasingly more "dense" all the time, both terms are used synonymously. See WDM.
