("ppm") in natural gas at a sour gas Sour gas is natural gas or any other gas mixture which contains significant amounts of hydrogen sulfide (H2S). According to this reference [1], natural gas is usually considered sour if there are more than 5.  plant in Saskatchewan.

Grimes Energy Ltd. of Kisbey, Saskatchewan has been using DVS 6000 for over 100 days as an H2S polishing agent by injecting less than 2 litres per day of DVS 6000 into a daily product of one million cubic feet of processed natural gas. When H2S levels spike to more than 6 ppm and the gas plant's amine amine (əmēn`, ăm`ēn): see under amino group.

fails to keep H2S levels below specifications, the gas stream goes to a flare stack. This results in the loss of valuable gas, or release of H2S into the atmosphere should the flare stack also fail. Using DVS 6000 as a polishing agent conserves processed gas resources and protects the environment and neighbouring property from the deadly effects of H2S.

The results obtained by Grimes Energy Ltd. are documented in a letter which can be viewed on the Diversified's website (www.dvsind.com). They demonstrate that DVS 6000 can be used to neutralize H2S by direct injection into the pipeline at wellheads of low H2S gas wells. Other candidates for DVS 6000 are old gas fields that are turning sour or areas with no sour gas pipelines. DVS 6000 can be used in remote locations with a very minimal amount of equipment. DVS 6000 H2S scavenger has a freeze point of minus 45 degrees C, is non-corrosive, non-flammable and very user friendly. DVS 6000 can be diluted in water or methanol if required.

There are more than 250 sour gas plants in Western Canada and hundreds of sour gas wells that are potential users of DVS 6000 as a polishing agent. The excellent results obtained by Grimes Energy will open the doors for Diversified's distributors in Canada and the Middle East for increased sales and an expanded potential worldwide market for DVS 6000. Diversified continues to define a growing number of uses for the DVS 6000 H2S scavenger.
