DVLA hit by latest records blunder.


THE Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA DVLA Brit Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency

) has admitted it had sent more than 1,000 motorists personal information about other drivers by mistake.

The agency, based in Swansea, said it apologised unreservedly un·re·served

It said no financial information was included.

In a statement the DVLA said a handling error had occurred in its mail despatch department.

The agency said the error was discovered within 48 hours of the letters being posted and that it took immediate action.

All drivers affected were being written to, the agency said, to "advise them of the error, apologise unreservedly and discuss its implications".
