Sonic Solutions (NASDAQ: SNIC) announced today that it has launched a new e-commerce site to service the rapidly emerging market for DVD publishing systems. The new site, located at store.dvdit.com, is designed to meet the DVD information and authoring needs of both video professionals and DVD enthusiasts looking for high-quality, accessible, DVD publishing solutions.

The new web store features DVDit! SE (Standard Edition), Sonic's highly-anticipated Windows 98/NT-based authoring application. Priced at under $500, DVDit! SE will ship later this month and will be offered starting immediately. To celebrate the launch of store.dvdit.com, Sonic will bundle more than $100 of artwork and promotional incentives with all purchases through the end of the year.
