DVDS: VINCENT STAR RAY WINSTONE TALKS TO THE TICKET; 'We've gone up two gears' Q&A.

Byline: JESSICA MELLOR Mellor - Schlaer-Mellor

Have you warmed to the character of Vincent?

Yeah! You've always got feelings about the way a character should go, but you're not always right. I think we've gone up a notch notch (noch) incisure; an indentation on the edge of a bone or other organ.

there, from last year. Gone up two gears, in fact, to everything we'd like it to be.

What was it like working with your daughter in the first episode?

It's terrible working with Jaime. I've had to live with her for 20 years! Seriously, it was very difficult because the first thing I had to do was wake up in bed with her, with her throat cut. But she told me she was getting paid, so that was fine. It was great seeing your little girl doing something she wants to do. And she was in good hands.

That scene towards the end where you tell the baddie to "f**k off", was that you or was that scripted?

That was me I'm afraid. You can take the boy out of the East End, but... It seemed like a fitting end.

What do you do when you're not acting?

I can't tell you that - I'd have to kill you! There've been plenty of times when I wasn't acting, and if you get a proper job while you're waiting to be an actor, you won't be an actor. It's a classic Catch-22 situation. You just have to be patient. I also have a good agent!
