DVD Trading Site Peerflix Appoints Industry Experts to Management Team; Amazon.com and Netflix Veterans Chartered With Enhancing User Experience and Community Tools for Growing Customer Base.

, Calif. -- Peerflix, an online peer-to-peer (P2P See peer-to-peer and point-to-point. ) service that allows members to legally trade DVDs, today announced two new additions to its management team. Effective immediately, Barnaby Dorman and Paul Gutierrez will join Peerflix as Vice President of Product and Director of Operations, respectively. Together, Dorfman and Gutierrez, who bring experience from Amazon.com, the world's largest online retailer, and Netflix and HomeScreen, pioneers in online DVD rentals, are chartered with enhancing the Peerflix user experience and developing new community tools to improve the peer-to-peer trading process. Peerflix expanded its management team to serve a growing customer base that now includes over 150,000 users trading more than 250,000 DVDs across the U.S. and Canada.

Barnaby Dorfman Barnaby Dorfman, residing in Northern California, is the chief product officer at kyte.tv where he leads the company's product development and engineering team. His previous employment includes Peerflix.comand A9.com.  was most recently at A9, a subsidiary of Amazon.com, where he was vice president in charge of local search and developed the noteworthy BlockView effort. Prior to that, he created IMDbpro.com, a subscription version of the popular Internet Movie Database (IMDb.com) that provides an unparalleled wealth of information for entertainment professionals. Dorfman is an avid film buff and executive produced Police Beat, a drama selected for the 2005 Sundance Film Festival. As Vice President of Product at Peerflix, Dorfman will be in charge of translating the needs and wants of the user community into new site features and functionality, building tools that will foster user communication regarding all the entertainment content available on the Peerflix website, enhancing the user interface as Peerflix expands into new markets and, overall, executing the vision of a frictionless marketplace where users can derive repeat value from the entertainment content they own.
