DVD OUT NOW.wTERMINATOR SALVATION (12) is the fourth film in the Terminator franchise and stars Sam Worthington Samuel Worthington (born August 2 1976) is an actor from Perth, Australia. He won a scholarship to the John Curtin School of Performing Arts in Fremantle, WA. He graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art in 1998. as killer Marcus Wright, on death row. He donates his body to scientist Helena Bonham Carter and wakes up in 2018, seemingly restored to life. In this future world, Skynet has destroyed most of humanity and John Connor (Christian Bale) is a leader of the resistance. There's plenty of action but the plot is messy and it's not exciting or witty enough. wICE AGE 3: DAWN OF THE DINOSAURS (U) is also available to buy in 3D, though it's not much better than the 2D version. A new character is swashbuckling Buck (pictured), voiced by Simon Pegg, but he doesn't work - at least not as well as Scratte, the female version of Scrat the squirrel. Sid the Sloth sloth (slōth, slôth), arboreal mammal found in Central and South America distantly related to armadillos and anteaters. Sloths live in tropical forests, where they sleep, eat, and travel through the trees suspended upside down, clinging to plays mum to three newborn dinosaurs, but then their real mother comes looking and chases them into a subterranean world full of pre-historic creatures beneath the ice. The animation is fantastic but the humour and story flag. wLAND OF THE LOST (12) is a remake of the kitsch 1970s TV series, starring Will Ferrell as an obnoxious scientist who builds a time machine which transports him and Anna Friel to another dimension full of ape men, a T-Rex and weird aliens. The lame jokes are done to death. wMY SISTER'S KEEPER (12) is a real weepie weep·ie n. Informal A work, especially a film or play, that is excessively sentimental. which raises interesting points about medical ethics medical ethics The moral construct focused on the medical issues of individual Pts and medical practitioners. See Baby Doe, Brouphy, Conran, Jefferson, Kevorkian, Quinlan, Roe v Wade, Webster decision. . Abigail Breslin plays an 11-year-old girl born to provide blood and bone marrow for her sister, who's dying of leukaemia. When mum Cameron Diaz wants her to give up a kidney, she employs lawyer Alec Baldwin to sue for the rights to her own body. wCOCO BEFORE CHANEL (12) is the story of Coco Chanel's rise from tough beginnings in an orphanage to one of the 20th century's most influential fashion figures. Audrey Tautou looks beautiful and wears chic clothes, but she comes across as cold and the often laboured film has more style than substance. |
