DVD 'calms children as witnesses' COURTS.


A NEW guide was launched yesterday for children called before a judge as witnesses.

He added: "Going to court for the first time can be daunting, especially for children and teenagers." Brendan Ryan, chief executive of the Courts Service, said the they have "a major role to play in protecting young people and children at risk".
