DVC manufacturer Target Technologies Inc., teams with Triple P Nederland B.V., European Systems Integrator, to form C-Phone Europe N.V.

WILMINGTON, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 29, 1995--Target Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:"CFON") announced today that it has expanded sales and installation activities of its C-Phone desktop video conferencing ("DVC") system to include Europe.

An affiliate of Triple P Nederland B.V., C-Phone Europe N.V., has been appointed the distributor of C-Phone in Europe and portions of the Middle East. C-Phone Europe N.V. also will install, maintain and provide C-Phone warranty repair service in its territory. C-Phone Europe is headquartered in Zaandam, The Netherlands.

Triple P is one of the largest independent companies in Europe providing application solutions and network integration service. According to Fezi Khaleghi Yazdi, chairman of Triple P, "Some time ago, our company identified desktop video conferencing as a significant, up-and-coming opportunity. We evaluated companies manufacturing DVC equipment and their products and determined that C-Phone's television quality video and PBX-style architecture made it the best product available in terms of quality, price and scaleability." Full-featured Phone System for Desktop Video Conferencing

C-Phone allows personal computers on a LAN to function as an office video private branch exchange (PBX) telephone system. Users can make and transfer video phone calls to each other, as well as to other videophone and video conferencing users worldwide. All calls made within the LAN feature television-quality video (30 frames per second, full-screen) with synchronized, full fidelity sound.

Dozens of calls can be made simultaneously without degrading existing data network performance. For calling outside of the LAN, C-Phone is H.320 compliant, and will connect to all other H.320 compatible conference rooms or desktop systems. In addition, C-Phone is the first desktop video conferencing product to be T.120 compliant within H.320 and therefore allows real-time whiteboard applications and document sharing over WAN calls.

C-Phone is a hardware and software video solution. The line of products and accessories includes the standard C-Phone network product, a stand alone unit, called "C-Station," available in 128 kilobits (Kbps) or 384 Kbps, a Multipoint Control Unit (MCU) for conducting video conference calls with three or more simultaneous participants, and a completely self-contained unit, called "C-Station Roll-About."
