DVC Group Awarded $400,000 Grant From NJ To Develop "E-Literacy" Program For Employees.

Classes in Computer Basics Teaches New E-Commerce Lingo, Tools and Technology, Facilitating "E-speak" Between Onliners and Offliners

 Group - one of the nation's top 100 professional services (job) professional services - A department of a supplier providing consultancy and programming manpower for the supplier's products.  firms - was recently awarded a $400,000 state grant for the development of a new "E-Literacy" program for its 300+ employees.

The award, which is granted to companies exhibiting long-term growth potential in business, demonstrates DVC Group's dedication to the continued professional development of its employees.

After a year-long process, DVC Group was approved for a "Customized Training Program Grant" from Workforce New Jersey, a State division of the US Department of Labor, to design an "E-Literacy" training program. The State of New Jersey annually grants awards in total of $40 million dollars for companies to invest in their employees to improve job skills.

"With the advent of the Internet, DVC Group has shifted from being an offline company to a `one-line' company, providing both online and offline solutions for our clients," said George Valva, Chairman, DVCi Technologies. "In the rush to adjust to that shift, we realized there was a divide beginning to form between employees who are conversant CONVERSANT. By introducing the E-literacy program, we're addressing the need to educate our employees, keeping them up-to-date in the rapidly evolving technology driven workforce."

The program will be conducted for 12 months, where employees of DVC Group will have the opportunity to participate in classes such as Beginning PowerPoint, Intermediate/Advanced PowerPoint, FrontPage 2000 and seminars on E-Commerce. More advanced classes include: Visual Basic, Java Script, Flash, Director, Object-Oriented Application Training, HTML HTML

Pat Terreri, Human Resources senior vice president of DVC Group, is responsible for developing the program and encouraging employees to take advantage of these valuable seminars.

Academic faculty members of County College of Morris County College of Morris (also known as CCM) is a two-year, public community college located off of Route 10 on Center Grove Road in Randolph Township, New Jersey, serving Morris County, New Jersey. The college currently offers 87 degree and certificate programs.  (Morristown, NJ) and consultants from Alpha Technologies (Piscataway, NJ) and the NJIT NJIT New Jersey Institute of Technology  Division of Continuing Professional Education, among other local New Jersey educators, will teach upcoming seminars. Courses will range from two to six hours and consist of 15 to 25 employees.
