DUSA Appoints Chief Financial Officer And Announces Presentation At CIBC World Markets Healthcare Conference Tuesday, October 24th, 2000.

DUSA Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: DUSA) is pleased to announce the appointment of John Mattern, CPA, MBA as DUSA's Chief Financial Officer, in addition to his duties as DUSA's Vice President, Finance.

In announcing the appointment D. Geoffrey Shulman, MD, DUSA's President and CEO, said, "John's strong financial background combined with his extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry have made him an invaluable addition to our management team. John is a CPA who completed his undergrad degree at Seton Hall University and his MBA at Rutgers University. Prior to joining DUSA as Vice President, Finance in July of this year, John was consulting CFO at CompuCyte Corporation and Cybex International, Inc. Previously he was CFO at Cardiotech International, Inc. and Interneuron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. In addition, John was VP Finance and Administration at Serono Laboratories, Inc. and earlier in his career, he was Financial Controller at Johnson and Johnson."

The conference features presentations, panel discussions, and tabletop exhibits by approximately 180 public and private pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, health information, and health service companies, with an anticipated attendance of more than 1,000 health care executives and investors
