The company specialises in consumer products from rubber and plastic, until mid-2004 it also had a medical products division. yesterday revealed that first-half profits had jumped 59 per cent, as key brands weathered tough conditions. The company, who also make the Scholl footcare brand, said they were helped by a weaker pound and overseas acquisitions. They posted pre-tax profits of pounds 51.9million for the six months to September 30. Sales of their branded goods grew 3.3 per cent to pounds 321million as demand for Durex and the Play range of lubricants lubricants preparations for the lubrication of passages to reduce frictional injury, e.g. oily preparations, including petroleum jelly, lanolin or water-soluble preparations such as methyl cellulose. and sex toys showed little sign of flagging. |
